Gemini the Twins! (21 May - 20 June)
 
Oh, Gemini folks are tricky beasties (I should know…).  Taurus folks get a bad rep for being too inflexible and unwilling to embrace change, but Geminis get a lot of crap for what appears on the surface to be a flighty and flirtatious personality that can never stick to any one thing (or person).  While it is true that Gemini people have a tendency to embrace chaos and adventure in every aspect of life, and maybe jump from job to job or partner to partner with what seems a greater abandon than folks born under other signs, this isn’t all that they’re about.  Gemini is an Air sign, ruled by Mercury, the messenger of the Gods.  They’re intelligent and very strong communicators, at ease in witty banter or deep, philosophical conversations.  However, they’re also able to adapt to almost anything with a tendency to be highly analytical, so they can also think (and talk) themselves into — or out of — most any well-reasoned position (sometimes faster than anyone watching can even keep up).  Gemini people can usually talk to anybody about even the most abstruse things and enjoy themselves doing it, and their passion to understand others can also make them surprisingly nosey.  They make excellent travel companions or political advisors because of the ease with which they communicate and adapt, but their adaptability and yearning for constant novelty and challenges can also make them seem a bit flakey, unreliable, or unstable. They also tend to get bored as soon as things get a little too predictable, and they can feel strongly driven to shake things up, just to keep things interesting.  Many Gemini people love to read and learn new things. They tend to be good at learning languages, and they’ll be the first to try anything novel (and probably drag you into it, too). For more earthy and watery signs, it can feel like quite the whirlwind.  Gemini folks also have a reputation for being a bit non-committal when it comes to relationships and other long-term arrangements, but part of this is their tendency to over-analyse and over-think things to a point in which their feelings of hopeless indecision can become crippling. With a little space, good communication and persuasion, however, a Gemini who finds an engaging and happy long-term commitment will always be extremely passionate and exceptionally loyal.
