Leo the Lion! (23 July - 22 August)
 
Just as the Lion is often said to be the King of the Savannah, those born under the Fixed Fire sign Leo, ruled by the Sun itself, really are larger-than-life leaders (just have a peek at the list of famous Leos that follows, and you’ll see what I mean). The stereotypes for this star sign seem to be more prominently true (maybe because Leo is a “fixed” sign) for Leo people than they are for folks born under most other signs.  Generous and kind-hearted to a fault, Leos tend to be great givers to the people around them. Because of their confidence and sense of “owning” the situations in which they find themselves, Leos delight in bringing their friends and loved ones along for the adventure. Their honesty can border on brutal, and despite their seemingly boundless energy, Leos too can get bogged down in doing too much and being the go-to person that everyone else relies on. It’s not always easy for them to ask for help because holding themselves to extremely high standards, they feel like other people hold them to those, too, and never want to let anyone down. Leos can also be prone to naiveté, and might easily believe everything  the “yea-sayers” around them (who are attracted by their lavishly supportive spirits) tell them. Despite these pitfalls, Leos’ charisma and willingness to work hard to achieve their (often very lofty) goals, paired with an intense passion that would exhaust some people born in other signs, their generous support and recognition of the talents and special qualities they see in the people around them, and their open willingness to communicate about their own needs along the way make them some of the most successful people ever to grace this planet.
